Market Technician
Steve is a self-taught stock market technician and the creator of Float Charts.  He is the leading authority on their analysis.  He has been active in the stock market since 1990. He is the author of the book Float Analysis (John Wiley and Sons Inc., 2002). His book received rave reviews from acclaimed people throughout the financial world, including master market technician Martin Pring, and options guru Lawrence McMillan.  Steve has published articles on Float Analysis in the The Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities magazine, as well as Traders World, and Active Trader magazine.

Speaker
From 2000-2005 Steve was a regular guest on Tom O'Brien's Tiger Financial News Network.  In 2004-2005, Steve had his own weekly radio show.  He has been a guest speaker at the Futures Industry Association Futures and Options Expo, the Market Technicians Association Atlanta and Virginia Chapters, the Washington Society of Market Technicians, the Cornerstone Investors Club of Tampa and the TradeStation Users Group in Raleigh-Durham.  Steve also gave a presentation on Float Charts at the 2008 ACTIF International Stock Analysis Conference in Montreal.  He also gave a presentation
at the Traders World Expo of 2009.

Background
Steve is a graduate of the University of Virginia. He taught elementary education for ten years.
