Mises was the greatest economist and social philosopher of the 20th century.  Like Bach whose music was overlooked for 100 years, Mises will some day be discovered by the masses and put on the level of Einstein, Aristotle, Descartes and Kant.  His ideas will outlive Lord Keynes, and Milton Friedman.  He is the dean of Austrian economics.  He makes such common sense that everyone serious about understanding human action, the marketplace and money should take the time to learn about him.

Jim is well versed in the ideas of Mises and Austrian economics and he tackles subjects others don't go near.  His weekly radio show is excellent.

Peter Schiff is the CEO of Euro Pacific Capital.  He is an outspoken unofficial public spokesperson of the Austrian Economic school of economics and its implications in modern finance.  He is author of "Crash Proof."  He understands and  is well versed in both mainstream economics and the economics of Mises and Rothbard.  His home page of Euro Pacific Capital is an excellent resource for the most relevant business news.  He too, has a bit of an abrasive style but he tells it like it is.

Tiger Financial News Network (TFNN)


TFNN is a fountain of stock market analysis and its CEO Tom O'Brien is a fount of market wisdom.  He's the best in the business at understanding volume, ABC's, and Fibonacci analysis.  He was Steve's first mentor and teacher.  There is only one Tom O'Brien on the planet, He is a one of a kind.  His ideas will change the way you look at the stock market.  Check him out.

Tom's protégé Bud Rolfs hosts the Morning Growl radio show.  Bud is a master of understanding channel lines and trend lines.  Bud's course, The WARPath Trading System is one of the best ever produced.  In Steve's opinion, he has taken Tom O'Brien's ideas to a even higher level of sophistication.  Steve currently considers Bud his mentor.  Bud's ideas dovetail beautifully with float analysis.

Basil Chapman is also a radio host at TFNN.  He originated The Chapman Wave analysis method at which he is a master.  The Chapman Wave is a method of analyzing charts that is completely unique.  He brings years of experience and expertise to all listeners.

Market Technicians Associations


If your serious about technical analysis and you want to get certified this is the place to go.  Steve is a long time Associate member.  Don't expect them know anything about Float Charts though,  The float number isn't found on technical platform data feeds and so most technicians can not create the charts.

Price Headley's Daily TrendWatch


Price is one of the best technicians in the business.  He writes a free daily commentary that is is excellent.  I've never tried his subscription service but I'm sure its the real deal.
